FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER CATEGORY
Foreign nationals who are professional and skilled workers can apply for permanent residence in Canada under Federal Skilled Worker Class.
All applicants in this category must have at least one year of qualifying work experience within the last 10 years and should obtain 67 points on the Points Selection System grid out of a total of 100 points.
The selection factors are summarized as follows:

(Maximum 15 points)
* Valid Job Offer
(Maximum 10 points)
* English or French Language Skills
(Maximum 28 points)
* Adaptability
(Maximum 10 points)
Once the applicant scores enough points in this category he/she may apply through the Express Entry Program.
In addition to meeting the above criteria, applicants must show that they have sufficient funds to support themselves and their dependents after arrival in Canada. Applicants and their dependents must also undergo medical examinations and security clearances as part of the Canadian Immigration application process.
After three years out of four years of stay in Canada the applicant can apply for Canadian Citizenship and Canadian Passport.
