EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM

 

The Express Entry program is the most popular program implemented by the Canadian Government on January 2015 to expedite the selection and application process for the following economic immigration programs.

ELIGIBILITY

You must score enough points in order to be eligible under one of the three categories mentioned above to enter the pool in order to meet the labour local market needs Provinces and territories also recruit candidates from Express Entry through their Provincial Nominee Programs.

The Express Entry System is a two step process


STEP - 1
Create an online profile

You will declare your:

  • (A) EDUCATION
    • You must get your Foreign Education Credentials assessed, if necessary
    • All applicants who have studied outside Canada must have their diplomas and educational certificates assessed in order to ensure their foreign education is equivalent to Canadian education.
    • All applicants who are planning to immigrate to Canada under the Federal Skilled Category must have their credentials assessed by organizations in Canada designated by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada.
  • (B) WORK EXPERIENCE

    Any work that you may have done in the past must fall under the following category in the National Occupation Classification (NOC) under the express Entry System.

    • Skill Type 0 : Managerial Positions
    • Skill Level A : Professional Jobs
    • Skill Level B : Skilled Trades and Technical Jobs
  • (C) LANGUAGE ABILITIES

    The applicant must prove that they are competent in one of the two official languages (English or French) Skilled immigration applicants must complete a government approved language test such as IELTS and include the test results in their profile. Certain minimum score is required in each section of the test to be eligible to complete the profile and enter the pool.

  • (D) OTHER INFORMATION
    • If you are married you must include the information of your spouse, dependent children, details of your passport and amount of money that you have for your settlement in Canada.
    • You can submit once your profile is completed.

STEP - 2
Invitations to Apply (ITA) For Permanent Residence

The second step in the Express Entry System is to Apply for Permanent Residence once you receive the invitations to apply from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (ITA)

  • The Candidate must submit a fully completed application for permanent residence. This application will be accepted or rejected on the basis of the application and whether or not the applicant meets the criteria and responses on the application is exactly what he has declared on the profile. Citizenship and Immigration Canada will check the information on the profile and if is not accurate the application will be refused.
  • The applicant will have 60 days to submit all the documents such as police certificates , IELTS score results, work experience certificates, etc. to Citizenship and Immigration Canada. All documents submitted must be translated into English or French language.
